Breiffne’s professional experience is grounded in his personal journey as a former elite athlete. He has represented Ireland at U18, U19, and U21 levels in rugby, was part of the Munster Senior Squad, and remains active as a competitive endurance athlete – having completed numerous marathons and Ironman events, including qualification for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships.
Breiffne’s approach blends clinical precision with real-world performance insight. Whether helping a post-op patient return to daily life or supporting an athlete’s return to sport, he tailors each treatment with purpose, empathy, and expert care.

Breiffne is the Clinical Director and Lead Chartered Physiotherapist at O’Donnell Physiotherapy. With over 12 years of private clinical experience, he brings an elite-level understanding of sports performance, injury management, and personalised rehab strategies to every patient.
A dual graduate with Honours degrees from Trinity College Dublin and the University of Limerick, Breiffne also holds advanced certifications in Spinal Manual Therapy (Australia) and Strength & Conditioning (NSCA). He has worked extensively with high-level athletes across League of Ireland football clubs, GAA, and school-level elite teams.
